The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

During World War II, a story develops through the innocent eyes of Bruno, an eight-year-old boy, son of the commandant at a concentration camp, who has a forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence. Bruno doesn’t realise what’s going on at that time in history, and so his friendship has unexpected consequences.
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a very touching story. The innocence of a friendly boy, who just wants a friend, moved me to tears. I can guarantee that this book will make you cry and make you think about the time of the Second World War much more. This book gives a good view into the life of an eight-year-old boy at the time of World War II.
